The Salmon Arm Secondary School interscholastic athletic program aims to create a positive and student-centered environment, led by a committed team of coaches and administrators that will encourage the development of well-rounded students through training, participation and competitive excellence in athletic endeavours.

Player Fees & Financial Support

Player fees help cover costs such as league and association memberships, equipment, uniforms, facility rentals, officials, certifications, and other sport-specific expenses. Additional fees may apply for tournaments, travel, or competitions outside regular league play.  Additional competitions such as tournament/travel play outside of regular league competition may also have additional fees depending on the specific sport, level and team, and will be charged separately. Depending on the sport, player fees can range from approximately $40 to more than $400.

Criminal Record Checks

Volunteers at Salmon Arm Secondary (coaches, drivers, etc.) who will be unsupervised at any time with students are required to have a Criminal Record Check completed.

Driver Information Form

Volunteer Drivers are required to fill out a Driver Information Form and submit this along with a photocopy of your Driver’s License, Driver's Abstract (see below) and Vehicle Insurance to the SAS Office.

Driver’s Abstract

Volunteer Drivers are also required to submit an updated Driver’s Abstract to the SAS office. A Driver’s Abstract is a record of your driving history. It lists when your driver’s license was first issued, plus any driving tickets or other offences you’ve received in the previous five years.
