SAS students can apply for both local and external scholarships during their graduation year!
Below are brief descriptions of the different types of scholarships. Students are always encouraged to check in with a school counsellor (Dave Van Bergeyk (dvanberg@sd83.bc.ca) or Nicole Cosh (ncosh@sd83.bc.ca ) for further information.
What is a Local Scholarship?
Scholarships that are provided by local donors for SAS grads only.
What is an External Scholarship?
Scholarships that are provided by donors outside of our local area, where the applicant pool is larger (e.g., province, country, etc.).
What is a District/Authority Scholarship?
Scholarships provided by the BC government, with each school selecting winners based on showing excellence in a particular area of achievement.
What is a District Scholarship, Bursary or Endowment?
Scholarships provided by local donors available to students at any of the schools in the District.
